What We’re Looking For

We welcome essays, interviews, profiles, transcripts, and experimental nonfiction that might raw on engage with the themes/imagery in Strand’s work and/or draw on personal archives while responding to the above question. Writers are encouraged to explore the intersections of past, present, and future in Ghanaian culture, as well as broader ideas of nationhood and creativity. We’re particularly looking for writers of Ghanaian heritage and those with an interest in art and heritage.

Guidelines & Opportunities

We encourage all interested writers to consult the creative workshop materials to gain insight into the project’s thinking.

Interested UK writers are encouraged to visit the National Art Library to read the book.

Selected works will be digitally featured as part of the Reimagining Ghana project archive.
